Jackie Robinson
During the twentieth century, much of the United States was dealing with segregation. In 1947 though Jack Roosevelt Robinson went to the plate in his first appearance in Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Robinson was called up from the minor leagues by the Brooklyn Dodgers general manager, Branch Rickey. Jackie Robinson could do anything in baseball, whether it involved saving the game with a homerun or a catch, he brought more excitement to the game then any other player.

Babe Ruth
In the 1920s George Herman Ruth changed the game of baseball by bringing it out of the cities, to suite the Urban fans. Babe Ruth one of the greatest ever to play baseball changed the game. Until Ruth baseball was dominated by pitching, a game of defense, after Ruth it was a hitters game that was at its best when someone hit a homerun. Babe Ruth was a orphan from Baltimore, but know was one of the worlds biggest celebrities.
